Music as a hobby can take several forms,

• Playing a musical Instrument 
• Producing music 
• Listening to music
• Collecting Music
• Teaching Music
• Singing

I personally play a stringed musical instrument and I find it is the best form of relaxation and stress relief. Whether I was playing in a band or at home which I mostly do these days, I find myself playing music for hours and losing track of time, But that's enough about me.

I believe music in any form is a great Hobby, whether its Learning To Play Guitar, listening to music, Teaching music or whatever it is you are into, you could spend minutes or hours or even take it up as a full time hobby.

Music is definitely a hobby that can be monetized. You just have to look around at all the famous musicians, I would say most of them took up music as a hobby at some early stage in their life.
